Uploading files is the first step to getting music and media into DISCO. From there, you can arrange those files in the Playlist Creator and save them as a playlist, ready for review, sharing, or further editing.

Upload files into the Playlist Creator
The fastest way to upload files is to drag and drop them directly into the Playlist Creator.
You can upload from:
- your computer
- an external hard drive
- connected cloud storage sources
As the files upload, they are added to the Playlist Creator so you can begin organizing them right away.
Understand what happens to uploaded audio files
When you upload high-quality audio files such as WAV, AIFF, or FLAC, DISCO automatically creates a compressed MP3 for streaming.
This gives you:
- a high-quality source file for download
- a fast-loading MP3 for playback and sharing
Uploading an MP3 does not create a WAV or AIFF version, so it is best to upload your highest-quality master when possible.
Arrange files in the Playlist Creator
Once your files are in the Playlist Creator, drag and drop them into the order you want.
This lets you shape the listening experience, group related files together, or prepare the playlist for internal review, sharing, or presentation later.
Save the playlist
Once the files are arranged the way you want, give the playlist a name and save it.
In DISCO, a playlist is a saved collection of files arranged for a purpose. It can be used for internal review, sharing, presentation, or delivery.
Saving the playlist turns the uploaded files into a reusable collection you can come back to, edit, share, and build on later.
The saved playlist will now appear in Browse, where it can be found again and reused in future workflows.
Find uploaded files and playlists later
Uploaded tracks can be found in the Tracks view, and saved playlists appear in Browse.
Both tracks and playlists can also appear in your search results, making it easy to find what you’ve uploaded later by searching titles, metadata, playlist names, and other indexed information.
This gives you the flexibility to upload first, then organize, search, and share as needed.
