The Discovery Suite

For anyone managing a growing music business, there comes a point where your internal workflows need better tools and your music needs an outward-facing presence. Discovery Suite addresses both. The AI tools - auto-tagging, similarity search, lyric transcription, instant instrumentals and a cappellas - work internally, improving how you manage, search, and work with your own library. DISCO Catalogs work externally, giving clients and supervisors a branded, searchable home for your music that they can access any time, without you having to be present. You can use one side without the other. Many teams start with the AI tools and add a Catalog when their business reaches the point where self-serve client access makes sense.

  • how the tools work together
  • how Catalogs extend your reach

What is included

Discovery Suite is a single add-on subscription that unlocks a range of connected tools:

  • AI auto-tagging - DISCO's AI listens to your tracks and applies industry-standard descriptive tags automatically
  • Similarity Search - paste a reference link and instantly find the closest-sounding tracks in your catalog. Tracks need to be auto-tagged to be indexed for similarity results
  • Lyric transcription - DISCO listens to a track and writes out the lyrics, making them searchable
  • Instant instrumentals and a cappellas - generate clean alternate versions from any track in under a minute
  • DISCO Catalogs - a branded, searchable microsite built from your library that clients and music supervisors can access any time

Who it is designed for

The AI tools are useful from the moment your library becomes hard to navigate manually - when tagging, searching, and generating alternate versions is taking more time than it should.

The Catalog becomes relevant when your relationships and volume of returning clients reach a point where one-to-one sharing no longer scales. If you have supervisors who come back regularly, blanket licensing arrangements in place, or a library deep enough that clients need to explore it themselves - that is when a Catalog starts earning its place.

If you are earlier in building your sync relationships, a Catalog is still worth having - but the promotion and relationship work that fills it with the right visitors matters just as much as the build itself.

"Catalog discovery and facilitating quicker licensing are the two areas where tech is the solution. One human can never listen to an entire catalog, so leaning into tech and things like AI tagging feel like part of the solution to me. That's been a big win for us with DISCO." — Pete Beck, Global Head of Sync, Believe UK

How the tools work together

The real power of Discovery Suite is not any single tool - it is how they connect.

A track that has been auto-tagged, had its lyrics transcribed, and exists inside a Catalog is searchable in more ways than almost anything manually prepared. When a music supervisor runs a MultiDISCO Search, tags, lyric phrases, and sonic references are all working to surface your tracks - without you having to pitch them directly.

Instant instrumentals and a cappellas are there when you need them fast. If a last-minute request comes in and your session files are buried or gone entirely, you can generate clean alternate versions in seconds - no re-bouncing, no hunting through hard drives.

That reduces friction. It does not replace the relationship-building and brand awareness that drives sync work - but it means your catalog is better prepared when those relationships open doors.

DISCO Catalogs and music supervisor discovery

A DISCO Catalog is a branded, searchable microsite built from the music in your DISCO account. You decide what goes in, how it is organized, and who can access it.

The key distinction worth understanding: your DISCO account is private by default. Nobody can access your music unless you share a playlist, track, channel directly with them. A DISCO Catalog is the layer you build when you want clients to explore your music on their own terms, at their own pace, without you needing to be in the room.

When you opt your Catalog into DISCO's discovery ecosystem via the "easy access" setting, it becomes part of MultiDISCO Search - available inside every verified music supervisor DISCO account. Not opting in means you're absent from those searches entirely. Opting in puts you in the mix - alongside hundreds of other catalogs and tens of thousands of tracks, which is the reality of the sync market regardless of what tools you use.

How Discovery Suite is priced

Discovery Suite is a paid add-on on top of your base DISCO plan. Pricing starts at $10 per month for up to 250 tracks. Your Discovery Suite quota covers both auto-tagged tracks and tracks in Catalogs - a track that is both auto-tagged and in a Catalog counts as one toward your quota.

The Discovery Suite quota is independent from your base plan track quota, but matching them keeps things simple. See full pricing at disco.ac/pricing.

"Similarity Search has given us a deeper understanding of our music catalog and we've stumbled upon some hidden gems we may have otherwise missed." — Heather Boyd, Believe
