DISCO Search Bar Overview
DISCO is a search engine for all the content you upload. Most of the editable text in DISCO is also indexed for search.
In this lesson, you'll learn:
- Search bar tips and tricks.
- Boolean searches that exclude irrelevant tracks from search results.
- How to filter results.
Start a Search
Looking for a specific track, album, artist, ISRC, genre, or playlist?
Simply type your query into the search bar. It scans all playlist titles, metadata fields, lyrics, track tags and playlist tags, etc. to return the most relevant results.
Tips & Tricks
- Combine terms to narrow search results.
- The search bar uses "And" (versus "Or") based queries.
In this example, Search uses “And” logic to combine track title (“If Only”) with artist name “Racing.”
More Ways to Use Search for the Best Results
Search descriptive track tags.
Select a track tag to see where else it’s been applied.
Select multiple tags to narrow your search results.
Use the minus (-) sign to exclude specific tracks from a search.
In this example, “rock male -female” would return rock tracks with male vocals, and omit any results that include the word “female” in the metadata or tags.
- Drag tracks into the Playlist Creator as you find them.
- Add tracks directly from the Player into the Playlist Creator from the bottom left menu:
