Inbox Visibility Settings
Please read Inboxes & Receiving Files if you'd like more context around basic Inbox functionality.
Admins and Inbox Managers can choose advanced settings that prevent other DISCO businesses/accounts from finding their respective Team Inbox and sending content.
This feature can be turned on or off in the Team Inbox Settings.
Importing Inbox Contents
When playlists first arrive in your Inbox, they are essentially held in purgatory.
- They do not count toward your track quota.
- They do not show up in your Search results (unless the Inbox is selected as an advanced search "groups" filter).
Here are some methods to import content from the Inbox and into your DISCO:
1. Star/Favourite a Playlist
- The playlist will be added to your Browse area and Starred section.
2. Star/Favourite a Track from inside a Playlist
- The track will be added to your Browse area and Starred section.
3. Drag a Track to the Playlist Creator
- The track immediately appears in the Browse Track view (as if you’d just uploaded it). Remember to save the playlist if you'd like to keep it!
4. Drag a Playlist into the Playlist Creator and Save
5. Drag a Track or Playlist into a Channel
6. Highlight Multiple Playlists and drag into a Channel
- Hold Shift or Command while selecting multiple items.
Expose the folders in the sidebar before dragging from Browse.
7. Select "Add to Channel" from the Playlist or Track menu
Permanently Deleting vs Removing Content
In DISCO, “removing” content means different things, depending on the content’s import status. While it can be good practice to scrub through your Inbox at the end of the day, it’s important to make sure that the content you’re looking to clear is already imported before going through with removal – otherwise, you risk permanently deleting that content.
Hovering over the “X” icon next to a playlist will prompt you with one of two messages:
- “Remove from DISCO” means that the content has not yet been imported/added to your DISCO, and that going through with the removal action will delete the content permanently.
- “Remove from Inbox” means that the content has been imported/added to your DISCO, and that going through with the removal action will simply remove the content from your Inbox.

You also have the ability to highlight and remove multiple playlists by toggling removal in the Actions menu. In this case, you will get a warning if any playlists are not yet imported into DISCO.
