Track Notes

The Notes tab is a great place to keep additional internal, searchable information about a track. Notes can be internal for your team's eyes only, or visible to clients on shared playlists.

Track Notes Overview

In this article, you'll learn about:

Track Note Specifics:

  • Your whole team can view, add, and/or edit notes appended to each track.
  • Notes can be internal only or available for clients to view via public playlist URLs.
  • The orange icon indicates an internal note.
  • The green icon indicates a visible client note.
  • Each note displays a time stamp and the user who created it.
  • Notes can be added without overwriting previous notes.
  • Notes are indexed and appear in search results.

Internal Notes

Internal notes are great for storing track information for your team’s eyes only:

  • Contact information for clearance parties
  • In-depth summary of clearance and split information for a quick view
  • Notes about the client that could be useful to your team members
  • Who you received the track from, when and why (for music supervisors or A&Rs)?

Client Notes

  • Client notes are visible next to each track in the public playlist view when you select the info icon:

  • Selecting the checkbox beneath each new note makes it visible as a client note:

  • Add a listening cue "chorus drops at 00.52"
  • Specify clearance information that you want your recipients to see
  • Link to other related content - like a music video on YouTube
Client notes will be visible in each playlist containing the annotated track; make sure the notes are relevant and appropriate for everyone who may see them!
