Download, Organize and Bulk Upload
- Open links to music as you receive them.
- Any DISCO playlists should be saved to DISCO - they will appear in your personal DISCO Inbox immediately.
- All other links (WeTransfer, Box, Dropbox, Soundcloud, etc) have to be downloaded and unpacked.
Compile All Downloads
- Create a new folder on your hard drive named “New Releases,” and add folders inside it for each week’s new music:
- Drag/add all the downloaded, unpacked folders into the relevant weekly folder.
Make sure the Zip files have been unpacked
- Check the downloaded folder names and contents.
- Add any useful info into the folder name, since this will become the playlist’s name in DISCO.
- Including the name of the company or person who sent new releases to you, along with the date they were sent, might be helpful to see in the future.
Run the DISCO Uploader
- Log in to the DISCO Uploader.
- Select the new music folder to upload from your hard drive.
- Let the uploader run.
Organize Uploaded Playlists
- Create a Channel called “Releases by Month,” with monthly folders inside it.
- We recommend adding weekly folders inside each monthly folder:
- Select all the uploaded playlists (by holding SHIFT), which will be in the Browse area.
- Open the Actions menu and Add to Channel, then search for the relevant folder name and add the playlists to it.
- Another option is to drag playlists directly into the folder on the sidebar:
Add Playlists From Inboxes to Channels
When you save playlists to DISCO, they will appear in your Inbox.
- Check the playlists’ names, and add any helpful info to metadata or notes.
- Multi select playlists and add them to Channels via the Actions menu.
- Clear the playlists from the inbox by deleting from the Actions menu.
